DRAPER, Utah - July 30, 2019 - NRP Stone, Inc. has released more information on the possible acquisition of Rare Metals and Gems Investors, LLC (RMGI) and its two products: white and colored diamonds and Luxium.
RMGI has represented that its diamond producer, and its affiliates, have been test-marketing finished white and colored diamonds to a major national jewelry outlet for several years. Its diamond customer has also expressed a desire to purchase jewelry-grade Luxium for brilliant gemstone settings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. Luxium is being viewed as a mid-market jewelry alternative in filling the gap between less-expensive silver that tarnishes and expensive gold, thus making it a stand-alone precious metal substitute.
Luxium is .999 fine silver, the world's best-known conductor of electricity and is molecularly engineered by combining silver with other trace elements. The result is a precious metal that has the natural finished look of chrome, though it can be colored, and has the workability and conductive properties similar to silver.
Luxium is represented to be much more tarnish- or oxidation-resistant than silver. Unlike silver, when Luxium comes into contact with sulfur-based chemicals, human skin, or other naturally occurring atmospheric gases, its finish does not degrade, or tarnish, quickly like silver. This quality alone makes it a useful candidate for jewelry and many industrial applications that currently use other precious metals.
