WARWICK, R.I. - July 26, 2019 -Asthma & Allergy Physicians of Rhode Island has provided patient-focused allergy and asthma healthcare for 25 years. Recently, AAPRI launched a new website to help patients learn more about the practice, philosophy, and services.
AAPRI's new website highlights the new focus of the practice: functional medicine. "I've always looked for the root causes of my patients' problems. More and more, we're discovering that allergies, respiratory symptoms, rashes, GI symptoms, food allergies/sensitivities, and constant fatigue are related to inflammation in our gut — our microbiome," said founder Dr. John F. Zwetchkenbaum, an MD who is certified in functional medicine. "Functional medicine enables us to treat the whole patient, offering integrated solutions that promote better health overall."
In Rhode Island and surrounding areas, AAPRI is the only practice that features functional medicine with a focus on allergies. The practice combines traditional and functional medicine for innovative solutions and lifestyle changes that reduce (and in some cases, even eliminate) allergy and asthma symptoms. The ultimate goal is to "treat the cause, defeat the symptoms" by helping patients understand allergy and asthma triggers, getting to the root cause of the problem through comprehensive testing, and providing solutions.

In addition to seeing patients for individual coaching and care, Dr. Paré offers small group classes and free seminars on lifestyle medicine at AAPRI's Lincoln, RI location.
AAPRI also has a multi-specialty clinical research center onsite, where patients can participate in clinical trials to understand health challenges and the innovative solutions available to them. The WordPress website was designed/developed by Ella J Designs, a company that builds purpose-driven websites.
