The traditional look of a Doctor's surgery was to be banished and his new clinic was to take a leaf out of the hotel lobby book – welcoming, sophisticated and relaxed.
The floor finish was the most critical explains Jane Bright, Design Director. "We installed a wide engineered timber plank into the clinic. The colour of the oak and the tactile appearance of the timber create the warmth we needed."
An American oak reception desk and timber veneer light fittings continued to boost the warmth factor. "The whole space was also painted in a warm grey," describes Jane "this created a relaxed mood in the clinic which could not have been achieved using white paint."
