Things to keep in mind to maintain your lost weight

Slimming down from a 90 kg to a 60 kg takes a long strenuous process of workout, diets and what not. But once you have lost the flab, your next fear would be how to maintain it?

To make this possible, you have to keep a few important things in mind and gradually work towards achieving a healthy lifestyle.

Don’t get too comfortable with food

Food cravings are usually common among many of us and it might be towards sweets, fast food, fried food or tangy food. But when the craving becomes a habit, people tend to overeat and of course gain weight in the process.

So, all of you who have a previous experience of weight gain due to overeating should understand that it’s not good for your body. Though you might want to eat when you’re stressed or happy, go in for healthier and lighter food options, which satisfy your stomach and your mental state without causing additional fat accumulation.

Check your weight everyday

Keep a measure of your weight each day and note it down in a book to monitor the changes. This makes you alert towards you body and you will exactly know if you’re eating fine and exercising right once your weight is on track.

Do exercise everyday

Just because you look pretty and toned in your dresses don’t stop exercising. If you want to keep that figure up to the mark, you really need to sweat it out hard each day.

Even if you work out for half an hour each day, make sure you are utilizing all your body parts and the intensity of the exercise is not deteriorating. Regular exercise also increases your overall immunity making you ready for challenges and other physical activities at home and work place.

Start being positive

Your previous efforts to lose weight might have drained some positive energy from you, but always give yourself the needed encouragement to think good and feel good about yourself. Success comes to those who have a positive attitude and as you already have achieved your set goals, keep working on them and create an effective balance through your positive attitude.

Adapt yourself to a new routine

If you were lazy and had a laid back attitude previously due to your unwanted weight, just push it out of your mind. To maintain the right weight you have to kick start your new life by following new routines and new habits which will keep you active and refreshed always. You can also join a dance academy, a trekking camp or go on a bike trip with your friends to have fun while you keep your weight under control.
