IP communication system Voice over internet protocol is the most widely used means of voice data transmission today. This is used by a lot of business organisation and individuals, as it provide a means to transmit data in terms of voice faster but yet cheaper. This has today become a better alternative to the traditional means of voice communication. The transmission of data is done in this system by means of interconnection networks like the internet. The skype protocol is one of the most modern protocols seen in VoIP system. The complexity of the system is what helps us in selecting the perfect protocol, and it differs for different system. A hardware setup with the perfect protocol and powerful software is what makes a VoIP powerful enough for the voice communication. As any new technology there are both advantages and disadvantages for this communication system too. But when considering the benefits, it provides the disadvantages are minimal. The advantages of VoIP system are lower initial investment, cheaper to use than traditional systems, Portable and powerful. The disadvantages are, uninterrupted power supply is required, hardware impact, the option for emergency call is lacking Today this technology has become the most powerful and cheaper way to ensure both long range and short range voice communication. Much business organization uses this technology to make in house voice communication networks. The disadvantages are minimal and have enough solution too.
