Publicist Angela Moore Announces Candidacy for Georgia State Senate 43

Long-time Lithonia resident, political consultant and international public relations specialist, Angela Moore has announced that she will be seeking the constituents ‘of the 43rd district of Georgia’s nomination in the upcoming special state election slated for November 3, 2015.

Running on a platform of “Excellence,” Angela Moore promises to usher in a renewed sense of inclusive leadership to Georgia State Senate District 43 by focusing directly on the people’.

Angela has proudly served her county of DeKalb, Lithonia respectively, for the last twenty years as an award winning community leader and advocate. Angela served as the chair for Senate district 43 of the advisory committee while under the leadership of the honorable Steen Miles. In this, Angela was involved directly with the community and their concerns and assisted the senator in community involved programs throughout the senate district. She hopes to continue that spirit in 2016, as she announces her candidacy for the 43rd District seat for the Georgia State Senate.

Angela has served as the state committee chair for the 92nd district of DeKalb County as well as, Communications chair for her county party and is affiliated with numerous other civic and social organizations world-wide.

Her announcement follows Sen. Ronald Ramsey’s appointment to state traffic court in July, 2015. “I’ve wanted to serve my community in an official capacity and I trust that now is the right place and the right time,” Angela said. “It’s been really rewarding getting to know people all across Georgia, in particularly, throughout Newton, Rockdale and of course, DeKalb County when I ran for Secretary of state in 2009."

“Running for office is grueling and I had set my gauntlet down to care for my disabled father. My dad served this country in the United State army as an officer and received a purple heart for his service to protect and defend our constitution. When his time of need occurred, I settled myself down to TRY and repay him not only for his service for my freedom but, because I’m a daddy’s girl. When the opportunity presented its self, I decided the state Senate would be exactly the place to bring my compassion, business, political and common sense experience to.”

Angela is a straight from the hip woman who is building her campaign based on
“Delivering Excellence” to the district which centers on building relationships with “We the People” that will elect her, excellence in education, excellence in transportation and to leave the 3 counties in a more progressive stance for the next seven generations.

“To me, relationships are more important than politics,” the Washington, DC native said. “That’s something I’m carrying with me into this campaign and in to the senate office.”

“The opportunity to build relationships is in essence the campaign. I’m anticipating a serious campaign, and am enlisting the help of family, friends and supporters.”

“We can’t rest on our laurels, we have to push for infrastructure funding down I-20 East, making sure our children receive excellence in education and that we can live and work in our communities healthy, without fear of violent crimes or an immediate loss of our homes due to foreclosure and, that we are able to compete for jobs outside of our home counties with proper access to modern transportation. I cannot do all this alone. It will take a group effort and I will be asking EVERY person in the district to join me because together, we can and we will; make an excellent Senator.”

With the population in the 43rd District hovering towards technically advanced adults, Angela has her work cut out for her to go out and personally ask for votes from constituents from the 3 districts. It’s a time commitment she hopes will pay off with a win come Nov. 3rd, 2016.

Should Angela win the Senate race, she would be filling an unexpired term of the immediate past Senator and would take office immediately.

After Governor Deal issued the writ of election on August 29th, Georgia’s Secretary of state set candidate qualifying for Sept. 14th through Wednesday the 16th.

The elections are non-partisan meaning; there will be only one ballot for all to vote on.

Should a runoff election occur, it will hold on Tuesday, December 1st.

“There’s always more to do and more to learn,” she said. “I am accessible for people to share their ideas with me. For more campaign information visit: http://www.voteformissangela.com. To contact Angela, call 678.806.6043 or by email: Mooreforgeorgia@gmail.com
