Etiquette Consultant Invites Girlfriends to Attend Annual Tea for Exciting Tea Etiquette Lesson

LOS ANGELES -- Girlfriends are often too busy to get together as much as they would like or even speak to one another on a regular basis. The average woman has many girlfriends that she would like to get together with to catch up on what’s going on in their busy lives. She also has many girlfriends that she has pending lunch dates with. Most women do not have time to get together with their girlfriends due to the busy lives they live dealing with their children, jobs, families, and many other duties or activities. Afternoon tea was introduced many years ago in England as a social event. It began with women getting together to socialize over a cup of tea, bread and butter, and cake. It wasn’t long before the afternoon tea became a fancy occasion where women came together for a pleasant conversation, tea, and delicious foods over a beautiful table setting wearing the most fashionable clothes along with their hats and gloves.

Etiquette Consultant, Michelle Shannon has been known to plan the annual “Mother and Daughter Tea Party.” Shannon decided to change the theme of the tea party this year. The idea for the new theme came when Shannon realized that she and several other women that she knew were unable to get together with their girlfriends like they would like due to their busy everyday lives. Shannon also felt that with her past tea parties there were a lot of women that wanted to attend and did not because they did not have a daughter or their mother was unable to attend. “I received several calls and emails from women stating that they wanted to attend the tea parties but did not have a daughter or that their mothers were out of state or had passed away and most of them simply stated that they would not feel comfortable attending,” says Shannon. This year Shannon decided the change of the theme would be a good idea overall. The Los Angeles Event, “A Girlfriends Summer Tea Party” will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:30pm in the Del Aire Park Community Room at 12601 Isis Avenue, Hawthorne, CA, 90250.

Etiquette Consultant, Michelle Shannon, of M. Shannon Consulting, provides etiquette classes for children in and around the Los Angeles area. Michelle Shannon is also the author of “Introducing a Young Lady to Cooking” and “Introducing Young Ladies and Gentlemen to The Fine Art of Etiquette. She will provide the girlfriends attending the tea party with a special tea etiquette lesson. The girlfriends will experience an afternoon of fun, proper tea etiquette, and delicious foods. Shannon will make the girlfriends aware of the important “rules” for an afternoon tea party which will prepare young ladies of all ages for their next Afternoon Tea Party. For example, since it’s a tea party, it’s okay to eat with fingers. Although the afternoon will include the “rules” of tea, it will also include an entertaining and enjoyable time for fun games, contests, raffles and prizes. A couple of fun-filled gift baskets will be handed to the woman and girl with the most girlfriends attending. There will also be vendors available to provide information to the women or to sell products for women.
