Nairobi-based Kenya Airways recently implemented the renowned Evinta Aviation Suite offered by Sri Lankan IT company JKCS. Evinta, a revolutionary ‘cloud based’ software for airlines, ground handlers and airports has processed nearly 20 million passengers to date.

The software solution Evinta Corp will allow this flag carrier of Kenya, with a fleet of over 45 aircrafts flying to 7 regions worldwide, to increase ticket sales through non-IATA travel agents and corporates and ensure convenience for their travel agents and corporate clients. Evinta Corp is one module of the Evinta multi-channel distribution platform; others include an Internet Booking Engine, Frequent Flyer mile redemption, Ancillary service module, Promotions module and complete administration and reporting features.

Evinta finds its success by empowering collaborated corporate clients to control and manage travel reservations at their convenience. Travel agents and businesses are also enabled to pay through several means for bookings. Evinta Corp facilitates agents registered with the airline to make reservations for their customers and supports the management of bookings in terms of rescheduling, cancelling, ticketing, re-routing and removing passengers. Corporate customers will have the same advanced functionality as travel agents in managing reservations. The administration module, or the ‘control panel’ of the system will enable the airline to specify master data, implement application access control and specify business rules of the airline. Moreover, Evinta Corp delivers a 360 degree analysis of the business through its querying and reporting functionality.
