The meeting involved a discussion between a group of science and technology CEOs who are members of AceTech, a nonprofit fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and Finance Minister Oliver over the state of the science and technology sector and its impact on Canada’s economy.
The event was a part of the Canadian government’s pre-budget consultation process that allowed Naren and other AceTech CEOs to engage with and influence the government’s economic direction over the coming year. Minister Oliver outlined the government’s significant investments in science, technology and innovation, and discussed how these investments are creating jobs and promoting sustainable economic growth across Canada.
