LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Share Foil is a multi-purpose digital device that can help people connect to the Internet and share files with travel companions easier and quicker. As pointed out by some of our supporters in the Kickstarter project, people are carrying multiple devices in order to help them solve the problems they encounter while traveling abroad. I encountered the same type of problems during my travels which is why this project was born.

Our design team spent countless hours to research & design a casing for our product that is not only practical, but also attractive. Getting the hardware right took us another 6 months of prototyping and overcoming technical issues, which was the hardest part of creating our product. We also spent a fair amount of time to develop a UI to make it easier and a more pleasant experience for users to interact with our device.

The features that our product includes are the following;

- LAN to Wi-Fi (Turns hotel LAN connections into wireless ones)

- 3G to Wi-Fi (Turns your 3G dongle into wireless connectivity)

- SD card sharing (Lets you plug in SD cards and share its contents)

- USB sharing (Lets you plug in any type of USB drive and share its contents)

- 6600 mAh Power Bank (Powers the unit and lets you charge mobile devices)

- Customized app (Provides pleasant experience for users while using our product)

Due to the prolonged R&D, our project budget is now limited and we require Kickstarter supporters to help us raise $30,000 within the 30 days’ time frame in order for us to complete the project’s development. Currently, we require the funding for the cost of toolings, meeting MOQ requirements and for the development of the customized app. Because of Kickstarter’s All-or-nothing model, if we don’t meet the target within the time frame, all that we have done in the past several months will be lost.
