Farmers May Reduce Greenhouse Gasses With The Help of Some Soil Micro-organisms

AMHERST, N.Y. -- Recently, a newly research, published in Nature Climate Change, shows how, eventually, farmers might reduce greenhouse gas production through the way they manage their soils.

The work was done by an EU-wide consortium including Teagasc (https://www.agriland.ie/news/teagasc-take-hands-approach-glas/)and researchers from Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC). It shows how effectively a newly-discovered group of soil microbes breaks down Nitrous Oxide, a major contributor to global warming and a gas blamed for depleting the ozone layer. It suggests that if their growth could be encouraged soils could make a greater contribution to addressing climate change.

With increasing serious environmental pollution problems, people have increasing calling for green ecology. Any responsible manufacturers shall focus on creating their own green eco brand. General public also tend to trust those manufacturers with green eco brand.

This trend also exists in agricultural sector. Agricultural companies need to cultivate more environmentally friendly agricultural products, and they need to build their own green eco brands. At this time, agricultural researchers have to think: how to cultivate farming products while reducing environmental pollutions, especially greenhouse gasses pollutions.

This new findings will undoubtedly bring new ideas to agricultural cultivators and researchers: all they need are just some soil micro-organisms can that help reduce greenhouse gasses.

However, there goes another question. Cultivating soil micro-organisms is time and personnel consuming. How can they get those soil micro-organisms without adding any staffs in a short time?

Here goes the good news. Creative Bioarray has professional laboratories for bacteria, actinomycetes, rhizobium, anaerobic microorganism, filamentous fungi, yeast and macro-filamentous fungi.
