Cinderella Ballet performed by The Lewis Foundation of Classical Ballet opened to a full house on the 14 and 15 December 2013 at the Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Central College Campus Bangalore.
The 14th December show was witnessed by over 1000 underprivileged children from local NGO's that work with underprivileged children while the 15th show was open to public generally consisting of our patrons , students and their friends and relatives. Our motive with these shows is to raise funds for the Outreach community programmes.

Synopsis of Cinderella
ACT 1
As the ballet opens, we join Cinderella and her two step-sisters in the kitchen, where Cinderella is preparing the sisters’ morning meal. The sisters, spoiled and unkind, tease and taunt Cinderella until their mother, Cinderella’s step-mother, enters the room to announce that the Prince is holding the annual Spring Ball and that he will choose his bride there. Excited, the step-sisters and their mother go off to plan the event, while Cinderella is left to dream of going to the ball. Just as she is about to resign to her fate of staying in the house, mice suddenly appear to create a dress for her. Cinderella is overjoyed at the gift, but only has a moment to enjoy her fortune when her step-sisters and step-mother reappear to ruin the dress and destroy Cinderella’s hope for a night at the castle. As the sisters and their mother leave Cinderella to her sorrow, she is joined by dragonflies who dance around her, followed by the sudden appearance of a beggar woman. Cinderella helps the beggar despite her own sadness and gives the beggar the shoes that belonged to her mother. At the appearance of the maids of the house, her step-sisters, step-mother, and dress-makers, wig-makers and a dancing master, Cinderella ushers the beggar woman away, and then stays to watch as the sisters and their mother prepare for the ball.
Knowing that she is unable to go herself, Cinderella is again captured by her dreams of the ball and dancing with the prince, when a magical vision appears. It is Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother who has come to tell Cinderella that she can go to the ball after all! The Fairy Godmother presents the Fairies of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, who all give Cinderella gifts for the ball, but she also warns Cinderella that the enchantment will end at midnight. Overjoyed and grateful, Cinderella travels through the star-lit sky to the ball.
ACT 2
Excitement and anticipation is in the air as the ball begins and courtiers, princesses, and people from all over the land gather to celebrate, dance and catch a glimpse of the Prince. The step-sisters try but fail to impress with their dancing, and very soon the entire ball is taken over by the arrival of the Prince and his companions. The Prince is not captured by any of the ladies of the court, until a mysterious guest appears – Cinderella. The Prince and Cinderella dance together throughout the night, until the clock strikes midnight, and Cinderella realizes that she has to get away from the castle before her dress turns to rags. Cinderella flees, and the Prince is in despair having found and then lost his love in one night. He finds Cinderella’s slipper, and vows to search for her.
The next morning, the town is in uproar as the Prince goes on a search for Cinderella. All the ladies of the land try their luck, but the shoe does not fit anyone. It is only when all hope is nearly lost, and the Prince is ready to give up, that his attendant points to Cinderella and demands that she try the shoe on. Cinderella tries the shoe, and of course, it fits!
The festivities know no bounds at the wedding of Cinderella and the Prince!
