The birth of International football, the last Scottish Witch to be burned and mind-bending puzzles

EDINBURGH, Scotland -- Edinburgh-based epublisher The New Curiosity Shop is releasing a trio of short non-fiction ebooks aimed at readers who want to learn something new.

How International Football Started: Scotland v England 1872
by Andy Mitchell brings to life the first international football match Scotland v Englnad in 1872; Geoff Holder delves into the dark side of Perthsire history to uncover the mystery of Maggie Wall— The Witch Who Never Was and in Puzzles ace Puzzler Paul Holmes challenges the reader with a serious of mind twisters to pummel the little grey cells

These are the first short ebooks to be published by online learning venture The New Curiosity Shop under the theme: "Curious About."

"We think the short ebook, roughly an hour's read, is a great way to pick up on a new subject, explains Founding Partner Noel Chidwick. "it's ideal for a commuter to load up into their reader and settle down for a good read to while away the time."

This is just the beginning. The New Curiosity Shop will be publishing more short non-fiction -- narrative non-fiction — from now on. Noel Chidwick continues: “we’re looking forward to covering new topics, and we enjoy seeing what drops into our submissions box on our website.”

All three books are available now.

The New Curiosity Shop, http://wwwnewcurioshop.com, was established in 2003 to provide online courses in a range of subjects. They are now branching out into the world of epublishing with a series of non-fiction books under the theme of "Curious About."
