How it works: Customers receive a token with their king cake purchase, which they assign to the charity they wish to support. “At the end of they day, theorganizations will split the proceeds from the king cake sales based on theamount of tokens they receive from the public,” says Lesley Forynski, catering manager.

In addition to the king cake sale, Cottage Catering will offer food tastings, games, activities for kids, and more. Each charity will be on hand to talk with customers.“We are hoping to turn King’s Day into an annual festival that supports localcharities,” said John Caluda, chef and owner of Cottage Catering and Bakery.
