DELHI, India -- The Goa Tourism wins the ‘Best Honeymoon/Romantic Destination’ award and thus, adds another feather in its cap. The award was announced by the International Tourism Conclave and Travel Awards (ITCTA) in Jaipur.
Mr. Sanjay Pande, Additional Director of Tourism, Rajasthan presented the award to Goa, at the 2nd International Award Gala Ceremony organized in Jaipur.
The press communiqué issued by Goa Tourism states that ITCTA gives a golden opportunity to ensure cultural exchange. Through this platform, the world also comes together to endorse tourism.
The event also aims on brining tourism, aviation industry, hospitality, tour operators, tour organizers, travel agents and professionals altogether into a single sphere.
The occasion also proved beneficial as the tourism industry drives to new heights, along with increasing its awareness. The occasion also brought the tourism industry to the forefront amongst all stakeholders.
Mr. Dilip Parulekar, Tourism Minister, said “Winning these awards helps create awareness about Goa’s potential and its rich heritage, culture, cuisine, landscapes and other tourist attractions. This kind of acknowledgement will help us in our efforts to attract tourists from India and abroad.”
He further added, “The award is a testimony to the professional and aggressive marketing approach undertaken by Goa tourism in the recent months which will continue in future.”
The Tourism Ministry believes that the Goa Tourism has introduced ‘single window clearance scheme’, which is a very progressive scheme for major and minor tourism events like music festivals and beach weddings. There has been tremendous response received by the scheme from wedding and party organizers, plus the ever increasing inquiries for Goa honeymoon tours(http://www.goatrip.com/goa-tour-packages/goa-honeymoon-to...). The Tourism Ministry also allows the state of Goa to emerge as a winner in the category of honeymoon and party destination.
