Anil Jaju Social Excellence Award by Dr k k Aggarwal

GREATER KAILASH, India -- New Delhi : 16th October 2013: Anil Jaju Social Excellence Award will be given to the best Non-governmental Organization for its work in the forthcoming 20th MTNL Perfect Health Mela being organized in the city from 23rd to 27th October, 2013 at Constitution Club of India.

Giving the details, Padma Shri & Dr. B C Roy National Awardee, Dr. KK Aggarwal, President, Heart Care Foundation of India said that NGOs participating in the mela will be assessed on the basis of their
contribution in the field of social health by a jury of members appointed by the Mela committee.

The award will constitute a cash prize of Rs. 11000/ - along with a citation. Chairperson of the Award Committee, Mrs Veena Jaju said that NGOs are invited in the mela to do any community service project. There will be no participation charges for NGO participation.

Mr. Anil Jaju was the Director of Heart Care Foundation of India in whose remembrance this award has been instituted.

Sudden Cardiac Death is an unexpected death due to cardiac causes happening in a short time period generally within one hour on symptoms onset in a person with or without underlying structural heart disease. Most causes of sudden cardiac death are related to irregular heart rhythms.

Sudden cardiac death often represents as the first expression of cardiac disease in many people present with out of hospital cardiac arrest. One can predict his or her chances of sudden cardiac death in the next 10 years said Padma Shri and Dr. B C Roy National Awardee, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and MTNL Perfect Health Mela.

Dr. Aggarwal said that in the forthcoming 20th MTNL Perfect Health Mela special awareness and workshop will be conducted on how to prevent sudden cardiac death.

The Mela is being organized by the Heart Care Foundation of India at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi from 23rd to 27th October, 2013 in association with the Departments of Central and Delhi Government, Central Bank of India, LIC, Coca Cola, GAIL and various hospitals and NGOs.

Dr. Aggarwal said that

You are not at risk of sudden cardiac death in the next 10 years

1. If you can walk two kilometers without any discomfort in the chest.

2. You can climb two flights of stairs within any discomfort.

3. If you have no discomfort while doing exercise with your partner in the bed.

4. If your blood pressure is normal

5. If your blood sugar is controlled

6. If your cholesterol is normal

7. If you do not smoke

8. If you do not indulge into binge alcoholism (more than 5 packs in one hour or more than 6 packs in one day)

9. If your heart pumping action is more than 30%

10. If your ECG does not show widening of QRS conduction

11. If you snore in the night and snoring does not have episodes of cessation of respiration

12. If you do not have a morbid obesity

13. If you had not suffered from cardiac arrest in the past.

Dr. Aggarwal said that even after a cardiac arrest, it is possible to revive a person by remembering CPR 10 Mantra, “marne ke 10 minute tak 10X10=100 per minute ki speed se aapni chati pitne ke badle mare hue aadmi ke chati pito”.
