Fred Olsen’s Grand Plans for 2014

Renowned cruise liner Fred Olsen is gearing up for a bumper year in 2014. In addition to its current itineraries, the company has announced plans for two ‘Grand Voyages’ set to sail from Southampton in the new year. These behemoth world cruises will bring the total number of countries Fred Olsen ships will visit in 2014 up to 77. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the new routes will also increase the number of individual ports Fred Olsen cruises visit to 240.

The Black Watch will undertake the cruise line’s longest ever voyage, taking up to 804 passengers through Europe, India, South East Asia, Australia, the South Pacific, and finally South America before sailing back to Southampton. The entire trip will take 144 nights – an epic by any standard.

Travelling for 104 nights, the world cruise undertaken by the Balmoral is equally grand. Fred Olsen’s largest ship will visit the Middle East, India, the Far East, the Pacific west coast, and the Caribbean Islands before returning to Southampton.
