HACKNEY, U.K. -- You may remember Kev Stenning's Limited Edition Steampunk Nixie clock? Well, Kev wanted everyone to be able to own it but realising how expensive it is, hit on the idea that he could make it as an app for everyone to enjoy! All for the paltry amount of a couple of bucks.
He has made 2 apps, the clock and a calculator, the calculator is available now in the app store, the clock will be released in the next few weeks.
Features:
NAVIGATION
You can move around the calculator easily with just a drag and pinch of your fingers.
GYROSCOPE
If you want to have a virtual look around the calculator, switch on the gyroscope function and it will stay in position relative to the world as you move around.
COLOUR CHANGER
You can change colours of the numbers as easily as the swipe of a finger. You can have the traditional warm orange glow of an IN-18 tube or the hyperreal neon hue of something not of this world.
CAMERA BACKGROUND
You can switch the background of the app to use the built in camera on the phone. If you are prone to bumping into things, falling down manhole covers etc. whilst using your device, this is probably the setting for you!
SOUNDS
The calculator has some authentic sounds to compliment its steampunk feel. The keys reproducing the sound of an old typewriter.
