The annual event hosted more than 130 delegates from the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, agrochemical, academic and research industries.The two day meeting included lively discussions about the ability of the Dotmatics Platform to address multiple challenges including biologics and small molecule registration and tracking, biological screening, DMPK analysis, chemistry and biology ELNs, and project management.
Leading scientists from industry and academia presented their implementation of the Dotmatics Platform and the benefits that it has brought into their organizations. Presenters included AstraZeneca, Grünenthal, LEO Pharma, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Cancer Research Technology, EBI-EMBL and the universities of Leeds, Sussex, Dundee and Newcastle.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the release of Elemental Draw (http://www.dotmatics.com/products/elemental/). Dotmatics showcased the new Elemental Draw and Elemental apps, which attracted a lot of attention and enthusiastic comments from the audience. “We are very pleased with the feedback in response to Elemental Draw provided by the scientists at the UGM,” said Dr. Mike Hartshorn, CSO at Dotmatics. “The Elemental Suite provides a publication-quality chemistry drawing package that works on MAC OS, Windows and mobile platforms and addresses a clear challenge faced by chemists in different industries.”
