MELBOURNE, Australia -- In any mentor-driven entrepreneurship support program, the mentors are at the core of the success of the program. STC (the Small Technologies Cluster (http://www.stcaustralia.org/)) has lined up an impressive group of mentors for ‘MedTech’s Got Talent (http://www.stcaustralia.org/entrepreneur-challenge/)’ to guide and support promising talent as they refine their business or product concept pitch for enabling medical technology innovations.
The mentor line-up includes: Alexander Gosling (Capstone Parters), Jefferson Harcourt (Grey Innovation), Erol Harvey (MiniFAB), Mark Johnson (Outerspace Design), Peter Lewis (Hydrix), Luke Martin (Design+Industry) and Geoff Rogers (Intellimedical Technologies).
Mentors will take two teams each under their wings in a draft-style pick at the October 31st Rapid Fire Round. Over an intensive one month, the mentors will help their teams start to build their business case and refine their pitch. On December 5th, these teams will then compete for one of five slots in the Accelerated Technology Roadmapping program, an intensive 3-month entrepreneurship development program that provides $20,000 to support the scoping and planning activities required to decide if the concept “has legs” and is a launchable business before pitching to real investors for seed capital.
