Before that, he was vice president and head of Latin America at Cipla in Bogotá D.C., Colombia, from 2019 to 2021. During this time, he also held significant roles as a board member of the Colombian-Swiss Chamber and vice president and president of ANDI Pharma Chamber Colombia.
From 2014 to 2019, Mr. Estrada Escobar was the general manager for Roche in Colombia and served as a board member for the Association of Pharmaceutical Research and Development Laboratories during the same period. His international experience includes serving as general manager for AbbVie in Finland from 2013 to 2014 and for Abbott Finland the preceding year. Earlier in his career, he contributed in various roles to Abbott Laboratories Peru, Abbott's Pharmaceutical Specialty and Hospital Products Division, for L'Oréal and Procter & Gamble.
Educationally, Mr. Estrada Escobar earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Pontifical Javeriana University in Colombia in 1991, a Master of Science in marketing from the University of Los Andes in Colombia in 1994 and a diploma in management from Monterrey Technological Institute in Mexico in 2006. Additionally, he is certified as a co-active coach by the Co-Active Training Institute.
Further contributing to his industry, Mr. Estrada Escobar is also an accomplished author, having written "El Legado: Una Historia De Liderazgo" (The Legacy: A Story of Leadership) in 2021 and delivered a TEDx talk titled "¡La salud debe ser una inversión, no un gasto!" (Health should be an investment, not an expense!) in 2018. His accolades include the Great People Leader award from the Great Place to Work Survey in 2017 and the Presidential Award for Marketing Excellence for Prime Formulas Strategy in 1997.
