Hargrave Military Academy is hosting a special five day course for young men in rising grades 7-12 who are interested in leadership and the military lifestyle. The 2013 Summer Leaders Course runs June 10-14, 2013 on Hargrave’s campus in Chatham, Virginia. It is a unique opportunity for young aspiring leaders.
“Good leaders are made, not born.” For over 100 years, Hargrave has followed that simple mantra in leadership development. Good decisions and good ethics are a product of a young man’s education, and a honest desire to better himself. Good leadership comes from good training. It is not a birthright.
Introducing a young man to the proper qualities of leadership helps frame his future success as a leader and decision maker. It helps guide his thought process as he sets his sights on the future, to include his elevating his college prospect and beyond. It helps guide the development of his character, especially with integrity, honesty and courage. It provides a basis for future success.
Hargrave’s new Summer Leaders Course is designed for the young man and families seeking exposure to the qualities of leadership in a fun and intensive training course. Over four days, a young man will be challenged physically and mentally. He’ll learn his limits and understand the nature of motivating himself as he learns to motivate others.
