Sissy chats with the winners! The stars! The Drama Desk Award winners this Friday night!

Last week, Sissy was invited to The 2013 Drama Desk Award nominees reception right here in New York City and had the opportunity to talk to some of Broadway's biggest stars, some of whom would turn out to be winners! This Friday night, we will be showing clips from those interviews including Tracy Letts, who recently won for Best Leading Actor in a play for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", SCTV legend Andrea Martin, who won Best Featured Actress in a Musical for "Pippin", Director Pam MacKinnon, who won for Best Director of a Play for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and Laura Osnes, who won for Best Actress in a Musical for "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. Not to be missed!

Our musical guest, Emma Brooke is a singer-songwriter from Northern New Jersey. She grew up listening to Britney Spears and Dolly Parton. As a result, her music falls under the style of Pop-Country. Emma's music is passionate and meaningful just like her desire for connecting with an audience through the stories within her songs. Emma has been writing originals since 2010 and music is a part of her everyday life. Emma is also a Jr. Vocal Coach for Zuketunes LLC. Among her students, she has Ty Rockey. Ty is a young boy with Leber's Congenital Amaurosis (LCA) which is an eye disorder that prevents light and color from being detected. A song titled "One Day" featured on her upcoming EP will have all proceeds go to his parents' foundation, www.tyseyes.com/" and towards research to find a cure for Ty and others.

Actress Judy Jerome is a graduate of the High School of the Performing Arts (Fame!), where she earned the top award from the Theatre Department. She then graduated from Franklin Pierce where she collected the President’s Award for Excellence in Theatre. Judy has worked for ABC, NBC and Nickelodeon. She is a lifetime member of the Actors Studio, where she had the pleasure of playing the role of Lisa in “Collected Stories,” and the honor of being moderated in session work by Alec Baldwin, Ellen Burstyn, Elizabeth Kemp, Lee Grant and Carlin Glynn.
She is perhaps best known for the indie film, “Cost Of a Soul,” which had a 50 theater national release. It can now be seen on Itunes, Netlflix, Apple Tv and most On Demand channels. Check out judyjerome.com for additional pics and reel.
