SAINIK INTER COLLEGE’ AND ‘RAILWAY SPORTS CLUB’ WIN 92.7 BIG FM’S BIG UNITED CUP

35 TEAMS PARTICIPATE IN THE TWO-CITY COMPETITION

92.7 BIG FM’s unique volleyball tournament for audiences in Agra and Mainpuri, BIG United Cup, has found its winners. The knock-out competition, which witnessed 21 teams and 14 teams participate in Agra and Mainpuri respectively, recently crowned Agra’s Sainik Inter College and Mainpuri’s Railway Sports Club as the undisputed Volleyball champions. BIG United Cup garnered great support from the region with Agra MP Dr. Ramshankar Katheria, District Volleyball Association Secretary Mr. Ram Singh Yadav and Mainpuri MLA Mr. Raju Yadav felicitating the winners in Agra and Mainpuri.

BIG United Cup was recently held in the city to amplify the message of team work and team spirit among young sports enthusiasts to create a sense of achievement while giving them the perfect escape from the summer heat. While the teams that participated belonged to not just the cities, but also surrounding areas, 92.7 BIG FM put together a great platform for students to get a break during the holidays.

While Sainik Inter College and Railway Sports Club walked away with winner trophies in Agra and Mainpuri, with Bostan Public School and Ghutara Club coming in as runner-ups in both cities. In fact, to keep the excitement going, two additional categories of winners were announced especially for the participating teams. Judged on the basis of their scores and expertise in Volleyball, Agra’s Adib Mohammed from Sainik Inter College and Mainpuri’s Nirdesh Yadav from Ekman Club were announced as the ‘Player of the Tournament’. In fact, based on their hard work and determination, Agra’s Nirvesh Bhadauria from Bostan Public School and Mainpuri’s Pappan Yadav from Railway Sports Club were further announced to be the ‘Player of the Final’.
