WASHINGTON, DC, February 20, 2024 - Today, U.S. Term Limits announces that Liz Whitmer Gereghty has agreed to be the New York State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. Gereghty brings a depth of both private and public service to this role. In this role she will lead U.S. Term Limits' efforts in New York to secure term limits for the statewide offices of Governor, Attorney General, and Comptroller in the Empire State.

"I am very honored to be serving as the New York State Chair for U.S. Term Limits," said Liz Geregthy "Now more than ever before, the need for term limits is crystal clear. Polls show that the one issue all New Yorkers regardless of political affiliation are united about is the need for term limits.

"So many people feel disconnected with our state government feeling that their votes have no impact, and the political process only serves a privileged few" concluded Gereghty. "Term limits will help level the playing field and make our state government work better for all New Yorkers."

"We are honored to have Liz leading our efforts in New York to pass statewide term limits," said Philip Blumel, President of U.S. Term Limits. "Under her guidance, I am confident New York will pass term limits for statewide offices."
