Over the years, Mr. Wirth gained valuable expertise in healthcare administration while completing a fellowship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, interning at Palos Community Hospital, and as a case manager at Albany Care. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and an MBA in health administration from Saint Xavier University in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Likewise, he was selected for the NAIA National Champions of Character Award and Team Leadership Award from Saint Xavier University. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in developing a best-in-class orthopedic immediate care program and a scalable perioperative optimization program, increasing the number of patients served at the Hospital for Special Surgery by over 40% while also improving patient satisfaction by saving each patient nearly 100 minutes. In the coming years, Mr. Wirth intends to become chief operating officer or chief executive officer of a hospital or health system before then helping to improve healthcare on a national level through public service and policy improvements.
