Wilson U. T. Onyeani Recognized by Marquis Who's Who

HOUSTON, TX, October 23, 2023 - Wilson U. T. Onyeani, MBBS, MD, RN, MBA, MSc, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Not only is Prof. Onyeani trained in neurosurgery, but he is a life-long learner, who is deepening his knowledge base in the field of medicine while also pursuing other areas of study in order to expand his knowledge. After receiving a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nigeria, Prof. Onyeani went on to earned two master's degrees, one in Business with specialization in Healthcare Administration from and another from Keller Graduate School of Management through DeVry University. Thereafter, he attended North Central University, where he received his doctorate in business administration and health care administration in 2022.

Since 2010, Prof. Onyeani has held the role of Professor at American Hope University, and his current area of instructional focus is basal skull fractures. Currently he is Professor Emeritus at Native Country Healthcare Systems Institute of Advanced Patient Safety . Moreover, he is one foundation member at Native Country Healthcare Systems, established in 2022. Inspired by his professional and personal experiences with neuropsychiatry, he and his colleagues decided to build a health care system that embodies both physical health and mental health that offers beyond the standard everyday care for patients with addiction disorder. Along with serving on the board of directors at Outsourcing group and chairman, Prof. Onyeani is also the acting administrator at Native country healthcare systems, who is in charge of coordinating daily with the clinicians, BHT's, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and board certified doctors.

To date, one of Prof. Onyeani's most notable accomplishments is helping to establish one of the largest dialysis center within the Phoenix Arizona area. From this experience, he authored a book titled "Patient Care Technology". He has authored and co-authored upwards of 15 textbooks and publications over the course of his career, including one of the only books on health sector modernization for developing nations and another titled "Health Sector Modernization: Nigeria in Focus". In all he has accomplished, Prof. Onyeani attributes his success to the people whom he has worked with over the years and is grateful to those who have supported him through his endeavors and during difficult times.

For his work and numerous contributions to his field, Prof. Onyeani has received several awards from the governors in Nigeria, has received recognition from New York State Department of health for his participation in slowing the spread of Covid-19 during the pandemic, and has earned an award for his contributions to his local community involvements, he holds membership with the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, and the American Academy of Advanced patients safety. Alongside with his career endeavors, Prof. Onyeani has devoted his time to several civic engagements and causes, including combating violence against women and children and the education for children in Poverty in Africa.

Currently, Prof. Onyeani is expanding his area of expertise, pursing a Juris Doctor from Trinity University in Califoria. In the next five to 10 years, he desires to continue to build up his career and the healthcare. Native Country Healthcare Systems just acquired a 60-acre piece of land with the goal of building the first integrated Mental health and physical health hospital within the eastern part of the United States. Alongside this development and expansion, Native Country healthcare systems hopes to become the most trusted name at the healthcare in the United States.

In all he does, Prof. Onyeani's heartbeat is in his duty of care to support his patients fully, particularly those who are recovering from a stroke. As an individual who has personally suffered from a stroke and is still recovering, he takes his experience as a patient and doctor seriously and uses his knowledge and experiences to advocate for the care and safety of patients everywhere. Through his work, Prof. Onyeani embodies the belief that there is hope and encourages patients to keep going, even when it seems hopeless to believe that things will get better if they can just press on.
