JOHNSTOWN, NY, August 03, 2023 - Bradley J. Rooke has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than a decade of excellence in indigent legal services, Mr. Rooke has earned distinction as an assistant public defender in the Fulton County Office of the Public Defender. Since 2019, he has focused his efforts on serving as an administrator for the family court division and representing parents and other individuals in family court litigation. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Town of Johnstown Board of Assessment Review since 2022 and has been the sole practitioner for his own firm, Bradley J. Rooke, Attorney and Counselor of Law, since 2015, handling real estate closings, uncontested divorces, family court appeals and vehicle and traffic cases. Further, since 2022 he has served as a committee person on the Fulton County Republican Committee.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Rooke began his career as an elected board member of the Galway Central School District Board of Education in 2008, creating and implementing policies for the district and negotiating labor agreements and disputes. Following this time, he was a law intern with the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office in 2012 and underwent a legal internship with the Office of the Pinellas County School Board Attorney in 2014. During this time, he also was a teaching assistant for a Title IX course at the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy in 2013 and was a research assistant for professor Peter Lake in 2014.

Mr. Rooke continued his career as an admissions counselor and strategic initiatives recruiter for Albany Law School in 2015, counseling prospective students on the application process and reviewing applications to make initial decisions on admissions for the Juris Doctor program. Later that year, he took a role as an associate attorney with Cordell and Cordell P.C., the country's largest domestic litigation firm. He subsequently functioned as general counsel for the Department of Social Services for Fulton County in 2016, representing the Child Support Collection Unit, helping to make placement determinations and ensuring compliance with foster care regulations and child services units and freeing over 25 children for adoption. In 2018, he became a senior attorney for the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Rooke earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and politics in 2011 from SUNY Potsdam. Following this achievement, he attained a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. Well-qualified in his field, he was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2015. Subsequently, he was licensed to practice in the State of Florida in 2022 and was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 2023. Mr. Rooke holds membership in the Fulton County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. Looking to the future, Mr. Rooke intends to earn a promotion to the Fulton County public defender and plans to continue his involvement in academic family law work.
