CARMICHAEL, CA, July 24, 2023 - Elizabeth Harman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. A servant leader with more than a decade of excellence in business analysis, Ms. Harman has earned distinction as an elevating women employee resource group co-chair for Blue Shield of California. Since 2022, she has focused her efforts on promoting gender equity within the company, providing resources as well as educational and professional opportunities for women employees. As part of this effort, she arranges for speakers to visit the company to give talks on promoting gender equity and equality in a way that enhances professional development.
Outside of her primary career efforts, Ms. Harman has served as a senior analyst with Transformation Acceleration since 2021, providing data-based strategic assessments and recommendations for their pilot programs. Additionally, she serves as an operations specialist consultant for customer experience. In recognition of her dedicated work, she was honored with a 2021 Mission and Values in Action Award for her innovative strategies to improve member experiences and outcomes.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Harman began her career as an intern analyst with the University of Oregon's psychology department in 2009 and was an operations manager for the sales department of the Telesource Center in 2010. She subsequently served as an associate business analyst for product implementation for Blue Shield of California in 2015 and became a business analyst for customer care with Vision Service Providers the same year. Following this time, she returned to Blue Shield of California in 2016 as a senior program manager and analyst for product implementation and transformation and earned a promotion to a co-chair of the equity advocates in 2021.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Harman earned a Bachelor of Science in social science with a dual minor in psychology and criminology from the University of Oregon in 2011. Following this achievement, she underwent a marketing internship in provider communications with Vision Service Providers in 2014 and attained a Master of Business Administration from the University of the Pacific the same year. Well-qualified in her field, she holds a certificate in business case development from the Harvard Business School as well as a project management professional certification from the Project Management Institute, Inc.
Within the coming years, Ms. Harman intends to finish a Doctor of Philosophy in business psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, enabling her to take a position in the company that will allow her to set more policies that drive expansion of employee engagement and satisfaction projects, leading to higher productivity. She also plans to continue amplifying the voices of people doing community-oriented activities, having been successfully fundraising within and outside of Blue Shield of California for many years.
