Leading a rewarding career as a senior broker at ARC Excess & Surplus LLC since 2020, Mr. Talarico oversees a team of brokers at the firm's headquarters in Jericho, New York. Working closely with insurance companies to ensure proper coverages are in place, he also focuses on continuously expanding the business and helping as many clients as possible.
As a specialty insurance brokerage firm in business for over four decades, ARC offers services for directors and officers, employment practices liability insurance, fiduciary liability, errors and omissions, cyber, privacy and security liability, and crime. In addition to its primary office in New York, ARC can be found in various other parts of the country, including New Jersey, Georgia, California, Texas, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Having garnered over 25 years of previous management and professional liability insurance expertise, Mr. Talarico joined Chubb Insurance in New York City in 1992, gaining experience in various underwriting and management positions. Kemper Insurance subsequently recruited him as a senior vice president and New York regional manager in 2000. In 2003, Mr. Talarico was hired by AXIS Capital, earning the title of senior vice president, then executive vice president, overseeing commercial management solutions. Moreover, he had the opportunity to serve as a senior vice president at RSUI Group Inc., leading a team of underwriters responsible for providing products to the public, private and nonprofit sectors from wholesale brokers between 2016 and 2019.
Avid about giving back, Mr. Talarico has been involved in several local initiatives. He is a committee member of the Thomas Gamble St. Thomas Charity Classic, an annual golf event supported by the insurance industry that raises money for The Thomas L. Gamble Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Educated at Syracuse University in New York, Mr. Talarico earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in business management in 1992. He also completed the executive development program at The Wharton School in 2010. To remain aware of developments in his field, Mr. Talarico is a member and former trustee of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, The Plus Foundation, and is also a member of the Zeta Psi Fraternity.
Noting that much of his success is due to his hard work, Mr. Talarico is also well-known as a nice guy who maintains a sense of integrity for all those he serves.
