With more than three decades of excellence in federal service to his credit, Mr. Winslow has earned distinction as an author and public-school teacher. Having retired in 2018, he now focuses his efforts on his writing. He is best known for his book "A Violent Marriage: An Abused Husband Defeats an Abusive American Wife," authored under the penname Lance L. Diesel. Through his book, he is proud to have helped men, women and children who are abused, and he himself was able to defeat his ex-wife in court.
Before starting his private career, Mr. Winslow served honorably as an officer for the United States Coast Guard Axillary for 20 years. Following his military service, he worked with the New York Association of the Blind for more than seven years until taking a role with the Federal Government Veteran Administration Hospital.
Looking to the future, Mr. Winslow intends to work on completing the third edition and audio version of his book, allowing it to reach more audiences. He is grateful to have had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and to England, France, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand, as well as to have successfully raised his son as a single father.
