Ms. Groh is a seasoned certified public accountant and an associate attorney at Goldstein & Orr in San Antonio, Texas. Joining the firm in 2022, she helps clients in all stages of criminal convictions at the state and federal levels. She also provides legal assistance to those already convicted with appeals and writs of habeas corpus. Striving to defend the rights of her clients under both state and the Federal Constitutions, Ms. Groh works diligently to ensure each client receives the best possible representation.

Ms. Groh spent more than 30 years of her career specializing in accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Before coming to the practice of law, Ms. Groh served as an auditor and supervisory auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency between 2010 and 2019. Inspired to attend law to serve others, she graduated and began clerking for Watts Guerra LLP in 2020 then moved to her current law firm in 2021. She also notably owned a small business, Hill County ACFN, from 2014 to 2022.

Eager to succeed, Ms. Groh has established herself as a proficient and sought-after criminal defense lawyer. She has notably worked on several complex legal matters, including writs of habeas corpus, sentencing memorandums, requests for compassionate release, and writs of certiorari before the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Groh frequently volunteers her time by providing pro bono services to those in need. While pursuing her law degree, she volunteered with the Texas Fair Defense Project and was an online legal information assistant with TexasLawHelp.org.

While serving her country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force National Guard, Ms. Groh obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy at the University of La Verne in California. She was subsequently accepted to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where she earned a Master of Business Administration. Most recently, she attended Saint Mary's University School of Law earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Additionally, Ms. Groh completed a legal research internship at the City of Austin, Office of Police Oversight. She has been admitted to practice by the Texas Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Moreover, Ms. Groh maintains certification as a Texas certified public accountant.

A member of several industry-related organizations, Ms. Groh participated in the Criminal Justice Clinic and the Board of Advocates. She was also the inaugural fellow of the American Bar Association's Consortium on Police Practices for the law school. She is a member of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Lawyers Guild, and, among others, the Federal Bar Association.

In light of her achievements, Ms. Groh received the Litigation and Advocacy Award while pursuing her law degree for her participation on Saint Mary's highly-ranked national team in 2022. She also received the Dean's Award from the university.
