ORLINDA, TN, June 21, 2023 - Michael Garvich has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in engineering, Mr. Garvich has earned distinction as a R&D Manufacturing Team Leader of Electrolux North America. Having joined the company as a Senior Product Engineer, he was later promoted to an operational leader of the Memphis, Tennessee facility. Since 2018, he has focused his efforts on leading a team that supports manufacturing and resolves issues that arise with the company's released production and product designs. He also served as a faculty member with the Cleveland State Community College, teaching courses in management and statistics.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Garvich began his career working in the engineering industry in 1989, including for Maytag Corporation in his first engineering role. Additionally, he lent his expertise as a reserve deputy sheriff for Bradley County, Tennessee for seven years, where he helped coordinate a child find exercise community activity. His local efforts were part of the department's preparedness response plan to President Bill Clinton signing the Child Find Act, which meant that law enforcement had to respond immediately to any call where a child was at risk. Among these professional accomplishments, he was also named Reserved Officer of the Year and Outstanding Student in the Study of Management by Cleveland State Community College.
While developing his professional journey, Mr. Garvich earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in organizational management from Tennessee Wesleyan University in 1998. Following this achievement, he attained a master's degree in organizational management from Tusculum University in 2006. Well-qualified in his field, he holds three certifications from LinkedIn in production planning, leadership and continuous improvement. Within the coming years, Mr. Garvich intends to retire while remaining open to future opportunities to help lead others and mentor their careers.
