UNION, NJ, June 21, 2023 - Pablo Martinez, MHS, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Martinez has devoted his career to helping others secure mental health as a Clinical Director and Director of Outpatient Services at Suburban Health Clinic and Sussex Counseling Center in Union and Newark New Jersey, which offers Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT – Methadone medication), comprehensive health care to those affected by drug and alcohol addiction and those with behavioral health issues. Affiliated with the facility since late 2021, he has worked closely with those residing in shelters. Providing various modalities to help individuals get well, he takes a personalized approach and frequently relies on medicated-assisted and Harm Reduction treatment plans. Mr. Martinez has also found success as the owner of Love Counseling LLC, which he launched just over a year ago.

Having spent more than 15 years as the Director of Outpatient department Standard 1.1 Level of care at CURA Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, between 2000 through 2008 and again 2010 through 2016, Mr. Martinez garnered extensive experience during his tenure with the organization. However, despite being ready to leave the facility and move forward with his career, he was loyal to his patients and had difficulty saying goodbye to them. Mr. Martinez was also the Director of Substance Use Services with The Peter-Ho Clinic HIV population at Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark from 2018 to 2020, conducting screenings and assessments, treatment, and discharge plans, and conducting harm reduction therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other services. Mr. Martinez worked side by side with Dr. Monacchio, MD, who provided the Suboxone medication. Moreover, he garnered expertise at American Habitare & Counseling in Newark as a Clinical Supervisor between 2016 and 2018, and again in 2020 and 2021.

In support of his career, Mr. Martinez earned a Master of Human Services in substance abuse and addiction counseling from Lincoln University in Philadelphia in 2012. Well-qualified in his field, he also received credentials as a licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, (LCADC) licensed from 2013. Mr. Martinez is bilingual and speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
