Truck Sail gets listed on THE OCMX™

ANCASTER, ON, June 09, 2023 - Truck Sail gets listed on THE OCMX™

Truck Sail has designed and patented an unconventional, more optimal approach to a series of large truck and tractor-trailer aerodynamic (energy saving) devices.

The design facilitates reliable deployment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) technology. A safer and more effective roadway media platform is provided in the context of safety illumination, which is reasonably defined as lighting of a dangerous vehicle zone, like headlights.

The OCMX™ is pleased to announce the listing of Truck Sail to its online portal which offers financial networks the ability to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

The OCMX™ has spent considerable time completing its due diligence on Truck Sail and concluded that there is indeed a tremendous potential for this company.

The OCMX™ noted that Truck Sail exhibits the main components of any solid opportunity, namely a solid management team, a great track record, and several key competitive advantages.

PROBLEM THEY'RE SOLVING
Trailer side under-ride accidents have long been considered a major road safety problem, and no practical solution to this has been developed. Our solution is to harness ADAS technology and lighting to prevent these accidents, as opposed to heavy structural rails which are not acceptable to the industry due to their payload-displacing and fuel-consuming weight.

Unlike conventional flexible trailer skirts which become scuffed by slow speed contact and vibrate with speed and wind, the Truck Sail skirt is stiff in wind on the highway, yet soft and yielding for slow speed contact to provide durability of form and surface with maximum size.

Truck Sail provides reliable imbedded radar and cameras within a self-de-icing shell, as radar and cameras can otherwise become impaired by accumulation of snow and vibration, both under and behind a truck or trailer.

WHERE THEY ARE HEADED
During the first few months, devices will be installed, and commercial duty tested with fleets who have already expressed an interest in doing so. We will then be setting up a manufacturing operation and reaching out to other fleets interested in this novel opportunity for out-of-home mobile media advertising and its revenue stream to maximize early revenues.

By about the 9-month mark, we expect to be ready to begin a rapid North American roll-out and turn to opportunities in energy-conscious Europe. Truck Sail will have all divisions fully functional: manufacturing, device and advertising installations with a cut of ad revenues returned to trucking companies to induce product uptake within the first year.

The early roll-out of even a limited number of boattails and skirts into the U.S market will be highly conspicuous to the trucking industry and the general public, and we plan to exploit this self-advertising advantage.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
• We can make ADAS work robustly in the most dangerous zones of the most dangerous vehicles, the environment of which is otherwise hostile to its deployment.
• We can transform backlit roadside/roadway media by attaching it to safety illumination of dangerous vehicle zones, and as a sponsorship of ADAS/energy efficiency with corresponding carbon credits.
• We can apply boattails to all highway cargo vehicles in North America and Europe with easy universal installation regardless of trailer-specific hardware or door type. It is much safer to crash into a Truck Sail boattail unlike all ridged panel designs with trailing edges presented to following traffic.
• Our nearest competitor, Wabco/Z-F, has been unable to commercialize their boattail which is installed with difficulty only to swing door trailers, and has terminal design weaknesses.
• We are more scientifically based than many competitors who make claims based on false data. We can demonstrate how misleading data has been generated by others. Data goes beyond energy savings as other major costs relate directly to energy throughput such as truck life cycle and maintenance, and the accurate assignment of carbon credits.

MANAGEMENT TEAM
Paul G.L. Andrus, President & Chief Research Officer
Paul is the key person behind Truck Sail's innovative 3D box-style, automatically deployable fuel-saving devices and the safety rail integrated into the trailer skirts. He is instrumental in devising patent claims, testing procedures and manufacturing methods. He has degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of Waterloo and Medicine from Queen's University. He is a practicing family physician in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Gayle Campbell-Andrus, Chief Executive Officer
Gayle is the key person connecting with executives and employees in the trucking and logistics industries in both the U.S. and Canada, with manufacturers in the U.S. and Mexico. She is well-connected in the U.S. and Canadian trucking and logistics industries and since the onset of Covid there has been a great deal of executive and senior employee churn so that Truck Sail will be able to create an experienced and effective executive team.

KEY METRICS
• Innovative designs are patented and unique to the industry, especially a 3D box design for all devices, the boattail and the safety rail on the trailer skirts.
• High quality materials and manufacturing methods are justified by highly lucrative revenue-generating advertising campaigns (devices act as third-party mobile media platforms), a portion of which is returned to trucking companies.
• The trucking industry wants fuel-saving devices for cost savings and to comply with government regulations to decarbonize the trucking sector/economy, especially with a looming energy crisis.
• The trucking industry, regulators, the public and insurance companies want a safety rail in trailer skirts and ADAS technologies in all devices to improve road safety.

KEY MILESTONES
• Driven by innovation, Truck Sail founders patent their innovative designs which solve real industry problems.
• Two highly successful testing sessions at Ottawa's National Research Council wind tunnel for data collection.
• Excellent results for RP-1102 Fuel Economy Track Test of Truck Sail boattail and trailer skirts at the Transportation Research Center, East Liberty Ohio (acceptable for SmartWay testing).
• Many successful real-world test sessions for proof-of-concept and real-world feasibility.
• Three successful projects with Mohawk College to embed safety sensors into devices for enhanced road safety.
