DECATUR, GA, May 24, 2023 - Kristy Neal has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging multiple decades of excellence as a gardener and amateur landscape designer, Ms. Neal received a Residential Landscape Design Certificate from Emory University in 2019. She earned distinction as the owner of Nealscape, LLC Landscape Design soon after. Since then, she has focused her efforts on exercising her creativity, blending her business acumen with her keen aesthetic eye and passion for nature.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Neal began her career as a consultant and clinician for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes in 2004. Following this time, she was an interrelated resource teacher for Gwinnett County Public Schools in 2007. She also served as an academic tutor from 2015 until 2018. Added to these experiences, she was a competitive swimmer for 15 years. Her experience as a swimmer gave her a wealth of confidence and discipline to succeed in other areas.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Neal earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from DePauw University in 1999 and a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2004. Well-experienced in her field, she also holds a highly qualified early childhood education teaching credential from Georgia State University.
Ms. Neal is dedicated to civil advocacy as she volunteers with Woodland Gardens of Decatur, the Georgia Perennial Plant Association, and Olmsted Linear Park in Atlanta. She has a designed a pollinator garden for Olmstead Linear Park and enjoys working at various fundraising plant sales around Atlanta. In 2021, Ms. Neal was a feature entrepreneur in the online magazine, Shoutout Atlanta. Ms. Neal intends to grow her landscape design business to help her clients appreciate the benefits of nature while fighting climate change one yard at a time.
