Prior to obtaining his current role, he was responsible for nearly $400M in annual facilities services spend for Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate management firm. Ramesh obtained the bulk of his management consulting expertise earlier in his career at leading firms such as KPMG LLP, A.T. Kearney, IBM, Wipro and PwC. He also owned and successfully managed his own advisory firm, KMV Consulting, Inc for over 7 years. The initials KMV are a tribute to his material grandfather, K.M. Venkatachalam who was a successful dental surgeon for over 45 years in the Southern Indian city of Madurai.
Ramesh is a life-long member of the Institute of Supply Management. After finishing high school on Bahrain, an island country located in the Arabian Gulf, he obtained a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from NITT, a leading engineering institution in India. He subsequently moved to the U.S. in 1994 to pursue his graduate studies and received a MBA in supply chain management from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
Alongside his work, Mr. Dorairaj contributes to his community through the Wounded Warriors Project, and Forgotten Harvest, which fights hunger and food insecurity for underprivileged children. He also regularly contributes to local charities and volunteers for events at his daughter's elementary school. He loves cooking, keeping abreast of world events, walking/exercising and spending time with his seven-year-old daughter, Priya.
While his career has been filled with standout moments, Mr. Dorairaj takes great pride in being offered a leadership role at his current employer where he is able to utilize his knowledge of procurement and leading supply chain topics to grow the advisory practice. Ultimately, Mr. Dorairaj aims to grow in his leadership role and achieve $10-15 million dollars in annual revenue turnover over the next three years. The cornerstone of his success lay with his parents, maternal grandfather and others, who have inspired him along the way.
