After beginning her professional ventures as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City, Liz Ryan decided to delve into the arts and entertainment arena. Through the Directors Guild of America, she graduated from their Producer Training Program in 1985 and has since contributed to more than 70 films and television productions across the United States and abroad. Serving as a director, assistant director, production manager and producer, she has participated in the creation of such films as "The Green Mile," "Alien 3," "Brokedown Palace" and "Waiting for Guffman," among others. Likewise, she served as an assistant director on the pilot episode of the acclaimed television series "The Office" and contributed to the show's success by designing the filming format for which the series has been known.
