Since 2014, he has found much success as a regional manager, vice president, senior vice president and owner of Vericon Construction Company LLC. In this capacity, he is responsible for business development, contract negotiations, budgeting, team motivation, and operations management. Additionally, Mr. Hermey oversees all construction operations for the Southeast including the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
Mr. Hermey initially began his career working as a manager at TGI Fridays from 1999 to 2004. Following this post, he was active as a project manager at the PulteGroup Inc. from 2004 until 2011. Between 2012 and 2014, Mr. Hermey garnered expertise as a project manager and a program leader at Golden Sands General Contractors.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Hermey pursued an education at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in hospitality and business management in 2002. As a commitment to his field, he has obtained his real estate license in the State of Florida and several other construction accreditations, such as OSHA 30-Hour Safety and Health certification. Dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Hermey contributes to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida, Habitat for Humanity, the First Tee of Central Florida and the Vericon Foundation.

Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Hermey has received multiple awards, including the Central Florida Project Award for Project Manager of the Year in 2012 and 2013, the Customer Service Representative of the Quarter Award in 2008 and the Field Manager of the Year Award in 2007, to name only a few. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud of becoming an owner and a partner at Vericon Construction Company. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his mother, who was a single parent to him and his twin brother, and to his mentors, specifically his uncle, Howard Scribner, as well as Scott Robertson and Pat Knight. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hermey aspires to expand the scope of his company and to maintain an overall solid foundation.
