MUNROE FALLS, OH, April 25, 2023 - David A. Benko, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in chemistry research, Dr. Benko has earned distinction as a Research and Development Fellow and consultant. From 1979 until his retirement from Goodyear in 2023, he focused his efforts on material development for tires. He has contributed numerous publications and presentations in his field over the course of his career and secured 24 patents on his work. He also received recognition from the National Science Foundation Center for Tire Research for outstanding support and guidance to its project research teams.
In addition to his most recent career efforts, Dr. Benko served as a research chemist, Section Head for materials science, Manager responsible for tire compound development for the Americas and global Director for materials and chemicals research and development. Additionally, he served as a committee member of the National Science Foundation Center for Tire Research and was part of the advisory board for the University of Akron College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering. Prior to embarking on his professional journey, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in physical organic chemistry from the University of Delaware.
Within the coming years, Dr. Benko intends to remain active in his field by sharing his knowledge with other professionals, guiding them to success in their own pursuits. Accounting for his success, he credits the support he received throughout his life from his wife and family, as well as his keen ability to guide others and help his company grow.
