SANTA ANA, CA, April 25, 2023 - Jack Sills has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in neonatal and perinatal medicine, Dr. Sills has earned distinction as a clinical professor of pediatrics. Dr. Sills has focused his efforts on providing clinical care within the intensive care nursery instrumental in the training of greater than 100 neonatal fellows now practicing throughout the United States. Additionally, he lends his expertise as a valued member of the California Association of Neonatologists and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Dr. Sills has been the president of Neonatal Consultants, a Medical Corporation since 1991. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have received an Orange County Physicians of Excellence award multiple times and last awarded in 2022.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Sills earned a Doctor of Medicine from Northwestern University in 1979. Following this achievement, he attained board certification as a pediatrician from the University of California, Irvine in 1982 and completed a neonatal-perinatal medicine residency program at the University of California, San Diego in 1984. He has taught at the University of California, Irvine since 1984. He has been a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics since 2000. Dr. Sills served as the Medical Director of the NICU at University of California, Irvine from 1988 to 2008.
Within the coming years, Dr. Sills intends to continue mentoring and guiding young physicians to better fulfill their careers, planning to retire from his current position at the end of 2023. Passionate about his work, he finds it greatly rewarding to be part of an ever-changing field of medicine that has developed to the point he has seen more patients survive over the years.
