With more than 20 years of excellence to her credit in restaurant and business management, Ms. Phanor has found success as the chief executive officer and creator for Men Pa'w Gourmet Hot Sauce LLC. Since 2011, she has focused her efforts on overseeing distributors to ensure that stores are stocked and shelves are replenished when needed. She also handles the social media management for the company, growing her network with other professionals and businesses. Additionally, having immigrated to the United States from Haiti, she serves as a member of the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Phanor owned the Hypertension Men's Haberdashery in Petion Ville, Haiti. She went on to serve as the owner of the Captivity Bar Restaurant in Port Au Prince, after which she became a kitchen designer for THD Designs in 2003.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Phanor earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, with a concentration in fraud, from Kaplan University in 2010. In recognition of her subsequent work, she has won numerous awards for her sauce recipes, including second place in the Scovie Awards of 2022, first place in the 2021 International Flavor Awards and third place in the scotch bonnet category of the Hot Pepper Awards in 2013, among others. She was also featured in various magazine publications, including Bon Appétit and Kreyolicious.
Within the coming years, Ms. Phanor intends to continue expanding the scope of her company, with the goal of becoming the next condiment giant. She was able to attain success due to her passion and determination for her work, eventually creating her signature hot sauce, described as "the Mercedes Benz of hot sauces," to preserve the pepper she and her former husband used to grow in their backyard. Although she is self-taught in manufacturing, she was able to secure partnerships with a co-packer to manufacture the condiments and works with a distributor to help place her product in stores. Her hot sauce is now carried by at least 150 supermarkets nationally and internationally.
