Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Announces Winners of San Francisco "Original Balsamic Week"

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, October 19, 2022 - The eponymous event took place from September 12-19 and featured partnerships with renowned restaurants across the city whose chefs created original dishes centered on the beloved Italian staple. Winners include Donato & Co (Savory Braised Leek Flan and Cheese Fondue with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI pearls), Ristobar SF (Strawberry, Arugula, Roasted Pecans, Shaved Parmigiano Reggiano and aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI) and Scoma's (Organic Roasted Beet Salad with Balsamic VInegar of Modena PGI). Each winning restaurant will be awarded a supply of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI.

The Consortium of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena would like to thank each of the 20 participating restaurants for creating innovative dishes that demonstrate Balsamic Vinegar of Modena's versatility as well as the product's fascinating history and organoleptic qualities.

The Original Balsamic Week is part of "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original," a European Union-financed project dedicated to the U.S. market. The campaign strives to promote the added value of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in regards to the authenticity, safety, traceability, and labeling guaranteed by European trademark protection. It also aims to enhance the competitiveness of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena across the United States.
