PITTSBURGH, Dec. 16, 2021 - "I wanted to reduce the pain and frustration associated with monitoring glucose levels," said an inventor, from Chicago, Ill., "so I invented the METER READER. My design provides added comfort for diabetics who monitor their blood sugar frequently throughout the day."

The invention provides an improved device for monitoring blood sugar levels. In doing so, it offers an alternative to traditional glucose monitors. As a result, it helps to reduce pain and it could encourage more frequent monitoring of blood sugar. The invention features a user-friendly design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for individuals with diabetes including individuals who are deaf or blind. Additionally, a prototype is available.
