Murray Condemns Jennings For Not Attending Delaware's Blue Mass

SEAFORD, DE, October 02, 2021 - Today, Julianne Murray, Republican candidate for Attorney General, condemned incumbent Attorney General Kathleen Jennings for failing to attend Delaware's Blue Mass for a second year in a row. The Blue Mass is held annually to honor those in the public safety sector (police, fire, EMS, and military). Murray said the place for Delaware's Attorney General is at the Blue Mass showing solidarity with our brave men and women who selflessly serve Delaware. Murray noted that Jennings' failure to attend the Blue Mass shows her utter disregard for law enforcement as she continues to appease social activists. It has been over a year since law enforcement in the state expressed no confidence in Jennings for her failure to prosecute protestors. According to Murray, nothing has improved.

"It is a disgrace that, for two years in a row, the incumbent Attorney General has failed to attend the Blue Mass for those brave men and women in blue," said Julianne Murray. "As the 'top cop' the place for the Attorney General is with the men and women in blue – not with the criminals in the street."

"Sadly, Delaware has an 'Activist' General who is more concerned with protecting criminals and advancing a 'woke' agenda, than in supporting our law enforcement and fighting to keep Delawareans safe" concluded Murray. "I pledge I will always be with law enforcement and will work with them to keep our citizens safe."

Murray pledges as Attorney General to:

• Support law enforcement and oppose all attempts at defunding and abolishing the police
• Restore public safety in Delaware and treat law-breakers equally
• Obey the Constitution and uphold the rule of the law
• Prosecute – especially gun crimes
• Keep politics out of the job
• Ensure justice is blind and nonpartisan
