Hunter Darden is living her dream of being an author that began when she was in the 4th grade! She has won awards for six children's books, a novel, a photography book, and her collection of humorous, inspirational newspaper columns written for The Charlotte Observer. Her children's books are aimed towards helping children to become healthy, happy adults. Daren wrote her novel, Tapestry: A Story of the Healing of the Soul after her sister died unexpectedly. Through writing she was able to find a way to heal. It touches her to know that her words are helping others to heal from loss, as well.

In Pete's Angel, Pete's world is sad and lonely. Not only does he not like anything about himself, but he doesn't fit in with the other kids. It isn't until Pete's misfit guardian angel, T. J., teaches him the art of loving himself that Pete becomes happy and fulfilled. The book is beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors and wonderful facial expressions.
