Buena Vida Media Leads Conversation on Diversity and Inclusion

MIAMI - Sept. 19, 2020 - Buena Vida Media leads a conversation on Diversity and Inclusion: Indivisible…And Justice for All, as a kickoff event for Hispanic Heritage Month in the US. Hispanics are 62 million strong in the US and by 2050 are projected to be 25.7% of the population. Hispanics are indivisibly woven into the fabric of the US yet continue to lag African Americans and Asian Americans in leadership roles across the landscape of America. Hispanics are invisible in the media, in the boardroom, on the screen, in academia, in politics, in science, in tech, in finance yet wield $1.7 trillion in buying power. Hispanics have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and many continue to serve on the frontlines as essential personnel. Remaining silent is no longer an option. Hispanic lives literally depend on raising their voices and fighting for visibility and their place in this country. Indivisible…And Justice for All.

"Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month this year takes on a more somber note as we reflect on the many lives which have been lost due to Covid-19, many of them Hispanic. We now realize that "diversity and inclusion" are no longer buzzwords but represent the access to positions of influence which directly impact the life or death of people in our communities. Buena Vida Media continues to grapple with difficult conversations and works to create a path for others to effectively contribute their voice," stated Janie Flores, President, Buena Vida Media and host of the award winning "Janie Flores Live" business talk show.

The event will be streamed on the Buena Vida Media Facebook page on Monday, September 21st, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with Janie Flores moderating, featuring a panel of exceptional leaders who are at the forefront driving the conversation on Diversity and Inclusion:
