WOODINVILLE, Wash. - July 29, 2020 - Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 79 companies from across the United States were named winners at the 2020 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.
"We are so honored to have our work recognized and grateful to our partners who worked with us on this project," said April Bettinger, owner of Nip Tick Remodeling. "This project gave us the opportunity to really showcase what it means to repurpose space in a way that makes the experience of living in the home more joyous."
Nip Tuck Remodeling was awarded first place for their kitchen remodel. The existing floorplan did not work for the busy family of four. The kitchen was too small, the adjoining dining room was dark and rarely used, and the formal living room's primary use was to house a Christmas tree annually. The team at Nip Tuck took over the former dining room to enlarge the kitchen, and strategically shrunk the formal living to make for an appealing dining room. The piece-de-resistance was creating a permanent home for a family heirloom – a Cobblers block from the 1800s that the homeowner grew up with and inherited.
"This company has won two Chrysalis Awards in the past few years, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to professionalism and excellence," says Ken Kanline director of the program.
The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation's best work in fourteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling. The Chrysalis Awards are open to every professional remodeler and design professional in the United States.
