Tim Karney Appointed Publisher of BizTechReports to Lead Thought Leadership Demand Generation

SILVER SPRING, Md. - July 7, 2020 - Tim Karney -- a seasoned veteran in the business-to-business and business-to-government media sector -- has been appointed publisher of BizTechReports. He will be responsible for leading the design, development and execution of tailored thought leadership programs for organizations with solutions to complex market challenges.

"Tim brings decades of high-profile publishing and go-to-market experience in business, government and technology markets," says Lane Cooper, founder and editorial director of BizTechReports. "He has played an integral role in helping technology developers and sophisticated service providers expand their mindshare to connect effectively with target audiences in a credible and authoritative manner."

Tim was on the launch team of Federal Computer Week before accepting the role of publisher for Washington Technology. He grew that publication independently for six years before its acquisition by the Washington Post. He then served as a group publisher at Post Newsweek Business Intelligence. He joined Government Technology, the leading media company in the state & local government market where he launched Emergency Management Magazine and served as publisher.

The role of technology in today's global economy is critical to the success of organizations across all vertical industries. As a result, key technology strategies are now often set by a committee of senior business executives...not just by technologists.

However, capturing the attention of C-level executives who participate in the technology selection process can be a difficult challenge. Business leaders are not only interested in technological innovation, they need to understand the strategic, operational and financial implications of mission-critical investments. That is why enterprise executives look for trusted advisors who not only solve technical problems, but also support and advance the most important business objectives of their clients' organizations.

Tim will lead the development of thought leadership programs that are customized to the needs of companies with effective solutions for very specific audiences. He will leverage the BizTechReports platform to position subject matter experts in leading organizations as trusted advisors to target markets.
