SEATTLE - June 8, 2020 - For the first time in the company's history, CDI Global is postponing their Annual General Meeting (AGM) that had been scheduled for September 13-16, 2020 in Seattle, Washington. The official 2020 and 2021 AGMs will be combined together and held June 20-23, 2021 in Seattle at the Marriott W Hotel. The postponement is due to health and safety concerns for attendees and travel restrictions amid the ongoing pandemic.
Even though the official in-person Annual General Meeting is delayed, CDI Global is still holding an abridged virtual program during the original September 2020 dates. The event will be held through a video conferencing platform with a series of virtual meetings and webinars. Several interactive sessions are also anticipated, including an electronic deal exchange, industry updates, and other programs. To try to accommodate as many time zones as possible the program would run during two or three half-day sessions.
"Postponing the AGM was a hard decision because we so strongly value those personal interactions, but the virtual format presents a new opportunity to connect to a wider audience," said Jeffrey Schmidt, executive managing director at CDI Global. "Because we have such a large global network, not everyone is able to travel to our annual conferences. We're excited to include more members due to the virtual format."
